This was the first workshop where we've done a full day event with an afternoon tea included!
I wanted to incorporate the new plant pots and homewares I've been making into my workshops plus create something where people can enjoy some quality time with friends and family or just meet new people and get the chance to talk in a more relaxed environment.
We had a spectacular day of crafting we had! Starting off the day with a spot of pottery most went for the ever popular marble effects for their plant pots and yet not two plant pots turned out the same.
Once those were set off to cure our ladies were whisked off for a decadent afternoon tea in the Lord Crewe Arms dining room while I set up for the next part of our knotty afternoon. I had a brief pause to enjoy a delicious meal hot off the BBQ, because lets face it, it would be rude not to.. and then I was back to work assembling the stands for everyone to make their plant hangers!
Next the final part of our workshop commenced! With a good old natter and the desperation to de-mould our plant pots early (which we resisted because I learnt the hard way many times before) we all created beautiful hangers to compliment our new plant pots.
Eventually the time came to inspect our previous potty creations and the results were well worth the wait! I wish I had taken more photos of everyone's creations but at the time I'm so wrapped up in the fun and excitement of it all I'm not always thinking of social media and blog posts! Regardless we all had a fab time and seeing the joy on everyone's face is exactly the reason why I love running workshops so much!
